Creating a stone garden is both simple and a beautiful way to landscape the areas of your garden. Stones in gardens are quickly becoming one of the most popular garden landscaping techniques around the world. This is because stones look fantastic and serene and also require hardly any maintenance.

The various types of stones used in a stone garden include, but are not limited to, granite, marble, slate, sandstone and cobblestones. The amount of stone that you used in your garden depends on several factors. First, how much money and time you want or have to spend. If you have the time and resources, you may like to make a old-English type cobblestone pathway through your garden.

The number of stones you use in your stone garden also depends on the look you want your garden to have. If you like more of an English garden look, you will use less stones then if you preferred more a Japanese garden look. Either way stones will add greatly to the beauty of your garden.
